Linkin Park - Meteora (2003)

A great album to listen to when you are angry, either with a friend or loved one transgressing you, betraying you, or any such action of the nature. You knew your lies would divide us but you lied anyway is an example of some of the great lyrics from this album, which is more then just people saying they are angry, they are people who have been cruelly hurt on the inside and vent their pain through great sounding music.

The band Linkin Park started in 1996, and became internationally famous with their hit album, Hybrid Theory. In later years they continued successfully with this album Meteora in 2003, and also Minutes to Midnight in 2007. They have released other various hits such as Reanimation which have also been successful in both the domestic and international communities.

The appeal within Meteora is that it can be so easily related to by anyone who has ever been bullied, betrayed, walked on or hurt, which everyone goes through at some stage in their life (although that stage will vary for everyone). The band honestly speaks out their emotions, feelings and desires within their music, and have an amazing ability of being understood completely by anyone in these undesirable situations.

Meteora was extremely successful, and sold over 800 000 copies in its first week of sale. The most successful tracks from the album include Somewhere I Belong, Breaking the Habit, Numb and Faint.

For any readers who are angry or in pain, and want something that can be related to, you will love Meteora, and will find your emotions being matched by the emotions of Linkin Park.
